“Give and gifts will be given to you; a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing, will be poured into your lap. For the measure with which you measure will in return to measured out to you.” - Luke 6:38
There are many ways to assist Holy Trinity in its mission to serve this community. Sharing our gifts and returning them to God means giving generously of our time, talent and treasure. To those already offering their support to Holy Trinity we thank for your generosity.
Time and talent can be shared by becoming involved in parish life, volunteering and offering a helping hand.
Treasure can be shared by making a conscious effort to make a financial gift to God first. When we give to God first we are making a gift of faith, trusting that God will provide for our needs. We are truly giving Him the “first fruits” just as God asked us to do in the Bible.
There are many ways to provide financial support to Holy Trinity. Click on the links provided to learn more about each of these giving options.
Friends of Trinity – Holy Trinity has been blessed with a wonderful support group known as the Friends of Trinity. Our Friends provide support to Holy Trinity in so many ways – their commitment to Holy Trinity is truly an inspiration! Friends may request to receive periodic updates and newsletters from our church, our school and Fr. Rich Creason. If you are interested in donating to Holy Trinity in support of the work that is being done through our Parish, please call Kim Lenz at 314-241-9165, or donate online via the Archdiocese of St Louis.
Tithing - Tithing is the practice, established by God in the Old Testament, of returning 10% of your blessings to God. The tithe was not given based on the needs of the priests, of the Church or of the poor. It was given simply in recognition and gratitude for the blessings that God had bestowed on the individual. Thus, every believer had a need to tithe to God.
What is this money used for? Money collected through tithing is used for the church’s expenses – ordinary items like utilities building maintenance, and salaries, as well as extraordinary expenses like a new sound system, or new boiler!
Contributed Services – Contributed Services are very valuable gifts at Holy Trinity. Do you have a company that can assist with electric, painting, computers, printing, heating & cooling systems or any other services that may be needed at Holy Trinity? Or perhaps you prefer to offer your personal skills as a gifted carpenter, painter, or gardener and are willing to share your time to complete some much needed tasks around the church, rectory, or school! For a complete list of tasks we are working on here at Holy Trinity, please click on the link.
Holy Trinity Keystone Gift – A keystone is the last stone to be placed at the top of an arch - to fortify that arch and ensure its stability. Keystones from early times are known to have been carefully hand-crafted so that each stone met the exact dimensions needed to complete the arch. No matter how much weight is placed on top of that key-stoned arch, the entryway unfailingly withstands great pressure and stress.
To fortify our own church community and ensure our stability as a parish, Holy Trinity has created the Keystone Gift. Consider giving a Keystone Gift as a charitable donation in the name of a friend or relative, whether living or deceased! For additional information about Keystone Gifts, please click on the link.
Matching Gifts Program – There are many employers that offer Matching Gifts programs. In these programs, with proper instruction your employer may match your contribution to Holy Trinity either dollar for dollar or perhaps some percentage of your gift with a maximum donation cap.
Planned Giving - Although all gifts are planned in one way or another, ”planned giving” generally refers to making a gift now while retaining an interest in the donated property, or arranging for a gift that the charity will receive in the future or at the donor’s death. This may also be referred to charitable estate planning, or tax-wise giving.
Endowments – Our endowments program has established a fund that remains invested on behalf of Holy Trinity. The principal amount continues to grow through donations, and is never withdrawn or spent, only invested. The income earned through the investments, however, becomes an on-going source of revenue that increases as the principal in the fund grows.
Fund Raisers – All at Holy Trinity Church and School are familiar with a variety of annual Fund Raisers. These are often very easy to participate in and in many cases, wonderful opportunities to socialize with other parishioners, family, and friends! We thank you for your support of all Holy Trinity Church and Holy Trinity School fund raisers!
