Lenten Activities at Most Holy Trinity It is time that our annual Lenten conversation begins. Seven words – shared with great curiosity… Catholics to Catholics, non-Catholics to Catholics, Catholics to non-Catholics… “What are you giving up this year?” These stereotypical conversations have such a downbeat and unhopeful tone to them… as if something is about to be lost. In fact, Lent is your very own opportunity to find, reconnect, or enhance your relationship with God… Challenge yourself to create an empty space that only God can refill. We invite all to join us in our new journey through Lent to Easter Distribution of Ashes Ash Wednesday – February 22nd Most Holy Trinity Church 9:00am, All School Mass Most Holy Trinity Chapel located below the Rectory 12:10pm and 6:00pm Add a Wednesday Mass to your weekly routine Most Holy Trinity Chapel located below the Rectory Mass begins at 12:10pm Personal Reflection Time …Drop in and spend some quiet time in a sacred space Most Holy Trinity Church will be open every Friday Noon to 1pm Soup Sunday February 26th Our community will gather for a discussion after mass to acknowledge the Anniversary of Vatican II, and the impact of this document on our lives. Since Vatican II the church has adopted the term the “People of God”. Over soup and bread we will reflect on these words. Who does this term “People of God” embrace? How does it affect us? What does it call us to do? Grow in knowledge … Study “Women in the Bible” Every Thursday during March, join this study group and learn how scripture shows us instances where Biblical women changed the world. We will reflect and discuss how these qualities connect to us today.* Every Thursday during March, in the Rectory Meeting Room from 6:30pm to 7:30pm *Some outside reading is required. Who are the parishioners of Holy Trinity Catholic Church? |
|
We are a people graced by God, who come together as a community of faith, supporting each other as we live and celebrate the good news of Jesus Christ.
We are called by our Creator to be a holy people, rooted in the work and life of Jesus Christ and empowered by the Spirit to reveal the gospel to one another, our northside neighbors and to the whole world.
We choose to support each other in our common faith and values, as we gather to worship God. Nourished by our presence at the Lord’s Table, forgiving and loving each other, we strive as a Church to extend the life of the Gospel by:
- Proclaiming the Word of God
- Evangelizing the community
- Providing social services
- Providing religious and academic education for adults and children
- Working for justice in our neighborhood and world
With God’s help, we will continue to contribute our time, our talents and treasures to reveal the kingdom of God in our neighborhood and in our world. Click here to view a wonderful article about Holy Trinity
