March 7, Third Sunday of Lent – Parable of the Mercy of God
Opening Prayer: God of all compassion, you taught us to overcome our sins by prayer, fasting, and works of mercy. When we are discouraged by our weakness, give us confidence in your love.
First Reading from Exodus: God said to Moses, “Come no closer! Remove the sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.”
Prayer Intention: Let us pause to pray for the Church, that it become a beacon of forgiveness and reconciliation.
Prayer: We adore you, O Christ, and we praise you because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world. |
