Holy Trinity Parishioners understand the mission to share God’s love must be extended to all people, especially all those who live and work in our neighborhoods.
It is important to acknowledge that some living environments may be cluttered with many types of barriers. It becomes our social responsibility to ensure all people, especially those living and working within our parish boundaries, cannot be encumbered by these barriers and have full access to all things that contribute to a safe and secure living environment.
Holy Trinity reaches out to children.
Holy Trinity Catholic School focuses on needs of each individual child so each child may reach the fullness of his or her potential. Our professional staff works diligently to identify and strengthen those tangible and intangible skills that lead to academic success and spiritual development; skills that will later influence the measure of happiness in life, will lead to meaningful employment and result in greater stability throughout our community.
We encourage our children to explore, live, and reveal for others the:
World of Faith – our children recognize that each person is made in God’s image, that we are all interconnected in this world, and we must share responsibility in providing service to others and working towards social justice for all.
World of Peace – our children learn to respect God, self, others and all creation. Through these teaching they develop the important “life skills” of problem solving, anger management, empathy and impulse control.
World of Discovery – our children foster mentoring relationships between older and younger students, creating an exciting and collaborative learning-community environment. Multi-age classrooms apply a two-year cycle curriculum that stimulates growth in a continuous, spiral growth pattern, rather than traditional grade-level, plateau-style achievement measures.
World of Creativity – our children develop creativity and imagination through violin, dance, and the visual arts taught by teaching artisans. By engaging our fine arts program throughout our academic curriculum our children are able to build critical thinking skills, creativity, and inner discipline while cultivating imagination and the ability to “think outside the box”.
World for Tomorrow – our children must be prepared for the competitive environment they will face in high school, college and as they enter the work force. Students’ grade 5 through 8 deepen their language arts and math skills through an expanded school day and further their sense for excitement and discovery through their participation in four-six week summer learning adventures.
By ensuring our youth have all they need to obtain success in their future, we have begun to contribute to those things that will create and maintain a safe and secure environment In the future.
Holy Trinity reaches out to the working community
Holy Trinity continues to be involved in the revitalization of the North St Louis area through their leading role in Congregations Allied for Community Improvement (North St Louis City), Metropolitan Congregations United, and a number of other community leadership groups. It is the resolve of these groups to improve life for all people, especially those in the St Louis area. These groups tackle the issues that affect public policies, laws, or unjust practices.
Holy Trinity provides outreach services to our community though the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Food Pantry and St Liborius Social Ministries. Both Food Pantries are part of St Vincent De Paul Society and both offer a variety of services to individuals living within specific geographic boundaries. St Liborius Social Ministries is operated by the St Genevieve du Bois conference of the St Vincent de Paul.
